Stop by ‘Touching Cloth’ with Sharon Kallis and friends to learn how to use a drop bobbin, a simple means of spinning, or a portable loom, allowing the sensations of the natural fibers, such a linen and mohair, to flow through your fingers.
Haruko Okano will also be working with local natural plants in ‘Healing with Herbs’. Connect with your garden or park or nearby forest by learning to recognize and identify flora with herbal properties. Learn about tinctures and salves and herbal teas to promote health.
In ‘3 Points of Perspective’, Tiki Mulvihill and Fae Logie work together with repurposed finds of old fencing and large green tubes cast off from a playground. What appears is a whimsical and participatory art installation with hidden viewpoints, ‘seeing’ the landscape through a different lens.
